M.S. Arch. EKIN BARLAS
Ekin Barlas was born in the United States and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. After graduating Istanbul Erkek High School, she attended Yildiz Technical University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in architecture. She furthered her education at Pratt Institute in New York and earned her Master’s degree in architectural design. For over five years, Ekin steadily developed her professional experience, skills and aesthetic, managing and designing luxury residential and commercial projects in Istanbul and in Dubai. In 2016, she co-founded her own full service design studio with Burcin Parlak Diricanli. She is fluent in Turkish, English and German.
Interior Arch. BURCIN PARLAK
Burcin Parlak was born in Eskisehir, Turkey and attended Anatolian Fine Arts High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture (first in class) at Anadolu University before moving to Istanbul in 2007. Burcin is an accomplished interior architect, who began her career working as a designer and project manager at exclusive design firms in Istanbul. Over the course of nearly ten years in the design industry, she has managed and designed commercial and high-end private residential projects. In 2016, she co-founded her namesake firm Barlas + Parlak with Ekin Barlas.
